Looking to go out for trivia in Huntersville? You’ve got multiple options most nights of the week and we have it organized for you.

Most of these spots draw regulars from nearby neighborhoods — people who walked over or are a short drive from home. If one is close to you, that's probably where your crowd already is.

Not all trivia nights are the same format, and you can find music bingo and even a weekly spelling bee. Venues change up their approach and hours can change, so worth a quick check before you head out. All are free to play and many offer prizes.

Crafty Beer Guys Taproom & Bottle Shop

  •  Mondays 7-9 PM | General Knowledge Trivia | Hosted by Mindless Minutia

The small rooms in this historic-home converted to a taproom give trivia night here a cozy vibe. Different teams are spread out across multiple rooms, and the acoustics are intimate. A welcoming, laid-back night out.

📍 14503 S Old Statesville Rd · Crafty Beer Guys

Harvey's Huntersville

  • Thursdays 6:30-8:30 PM |  Music Bingo | Winning teams earn discounts on food and drinks

A full-restaurant setting that draws families with young kids alongside the usual bar crowd. They vary the music across generations, so groups with mixed listening tastes stay in the game. Good if you want a relaxed evening rather than a competitive one.

📍 13812 Cinnabar Pl · Harvey's

The Kilted Buffalo

  • Sundays 7-9 PM | Buzzed Spelling Bee |
  • Wednesdays, 8-10 PM | Survey Showdown Trivia |
  • Thursdays, 8:30-10:30 PM | Music Trivia |

Use your phone to answer questions for trivia (not spelling). Classic bar space with a crowd that clearly knows each other — trivia is happening around them rather than the whole room locked in. Laid back, diverse by age, and the game formats vary enough to keep it from feeling like the same night every week. Each night is hosted by Cappitoff Entertainment.

📍 8625 Townley Rd · Kilted Buffalo

Neoteric Brewing Co.

  • Wednesdays 7-9 PM | General Knowledge Trivia & Music Trivia | Hosted by Jeffrey Greenspan and Mugsy | Prizes for 1st and 2nd place

Trivia nights are themed, which is shared ahead of time on social media. That said, the content within a theme covers a lot of ground and less pop culture and a little more academic than other trivia games. Smaller groups do well here. Competitive and enjoyable.

📍 14220 Oakhill Park Ln · Neoteric Brewing Co.

Primal Brewing

  • Mondays 6:30-8 PM | Music Bingo
  • Tuesdays 7-9 PM | General Knowledge Trivia

Family friendly environment. Indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather. Primal often hosts more nights of music bingo, depending on the rest of their scheduled events. Check their social media for additional game nights.

📍 16432 Old Statesville Rd · Primal Brewing

Spare Time

  • Tuesdays 8-10 PM | Trivia with a Twist | Prizes

Experienced facilitator who runs a tight, organized night. Themes change weekly but pull from enough different knowledge areas that most groups find their footing. Questions display on TV screens throughout the space, so you can read and listen to the questions. The crowd skews competitive — a lot of regulars who've been coming for a while.

Suffolk Punch Brewing

  • Mondays 6:30-8:30 PM | Music Trivia | Prizes
  • Thursdays 6:30 - 8:30 PM | General Knowledge Trivia (sometimes themed) | Prizes

Monday night’s event plays family-friendly music across a wide range of genres and eras, so bring a team with diverse listening tastes. Teams are often bigger (8-10 players isn’t unheard of). Both nights use the rooftop when the weather cooperates, covered space when it doesn't.

📍 16912 Birkdale Commons Pkwy · Suffolk Punch Brewing

760 Craft Works

  • Tuesday 7-9 PM | General Knowledge Trivia
  • Wednesday 7-9 PM | Music Trivia | Hosted by Cappitoff Entertainment

The questions lean academic and knowledge-heavy — less pop culture, more substance. Regulars describe it that way and clearly prefer it. Smaller groups hold their own here, and the crowd tends to be social — people talk across tables between rounds. Well organized and runs on time.

Trivia FAQs

What is music bingo?

Music bingo is a game that works like regular bingo, but with songs instead of numbers. The organizer plays short clips of music, and players mark off the matching song titles or artists on their bingo cards until someone completes a line and calls “Bingo!”

What is a buzzed spelling bee?

A buzzed bee is a spelling contest where contestants spell words out loud (no writing or phones) with limited time. Correctly spelled words keep you in the game and misspellings knock you out.

Can you use phones while playing general knowledge trivia?

The rules for phones vary across venues and events. Generally speaking, the more competitive, the less phones are acceptable. Each organizer will announce the rules at the beginning of the night.

Is there a cost to play?

All of the nights listed here are free to play. Some venues offer prizes for winning teams in the form of gift cards or discounts on food and drinks that night.

How many people can be on a team?

It varies, mostly based on layout of the venues or size of tables. Suffolk Punch Brewing accommodates teams of 8–10, which is larger than most. Crafty Beer Guys and The Kilted Buffalo have smaller tables spread out where big groups are harder to seat together.

Do I need a team or can I show up solo?

Most trivia nights are more fun (and more competitive) with a group, but showing up solo isn't unheard of. Often, you find a group of regulars and join their team if you like or go it alone if you prefer.

Are these nights family friendly?

Several are. Harvey's draws families with young kids. Suffolk Punch, 760 Craft Works, and Primal are all family friendly. Kilted Buffalo and Crafty Beer Guys lean more bar-crowd than family crowd for these nights. When in doubt, call ahead.
