Helpful tips and insights before you visit

  • Admission: Park is free and open to the public.
  • Hours: Open from dawn–dusk daily
  • Restrooms: Two, both with changing tables, water fountain & bottle filling
  • Parking: Large on-site lot but it fills-up during games and tournaments

  • Reservations: Fields and the picnic shelter can be reserved through Huntersville Parks & Recreation. Visit Parks & Rec website directly for current pricing and availability.
  • Dogs: Welcome on a leash throughout the park, including the disc golf course, but not on the turf.
  • History: Park is named for Huntersville native Richard Barry (1726-1801), a signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.
  • While You Wait: The playgrounds, disc golf course, and walking trail are all a short walk from the fields, offering something else to occupy family.

"Great fields and I played disc golf and it was a surprisingly good course. Short but technical and two tee pads per hole so you can play a second nine on other tees to get a full round in."

Kevin Beamer, Google Review

"A few large soccer fields adjoining a local school.  Bathroom facilities are way to far away especially with small ones, but it was nice to have shaded parking from the trees.  Fields were in good shape though, no potholes and grass kept up with."

Ian Luecht, Google Review

"Parking is very difficult at times, but the newly installed benches on the disc golf course are magnificent."

Nicholas Kuharcik, Google Review

"This is a really nice soccer complex with six turf fields. There’s plenty of parking, though it can get pretty packed when games are going on. Big plus: real restrooms instead of port-a-potties. Just a heads-up, there’s a small playground but no picnic area, and dogs are allowed in the park or walk trails but not on the fields."
